Notice of City Council Special Meeting and Workshop

The DuPont City Council will hold a special meeting at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at City Hall Council Chambers,1700 Civic Drive, DuPont, WA 98327, to hold a public hearing on the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) property tax levy; and to discuss the proposed Ordinance (First Reading) relating to the EMS property taxes/EMS levy rate for 2018.

Following the Special Meeting, the City Council will hold its regularly scheduled Council workshop on or about 6:15 pm to discuss the 2018 Proposed Budget.


Notice of City Council Public Hearing

The DuPont City Council will conduct a Public Hearing during its Special Meeting on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at approximately 6:00 pm, at DuPont City Hall, 1700 Civic Drive, DuPont, WA 98327, for the purpose of receiving written or oral comments on the proposed 2018 EMS property tax levy.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of DuPont Mayor’s proposed 2018 preliminary budget has been filed with the City Clerk and a copy will be furnished to any taxpayer or can be viewed on the City’s website www.dupontwa.gov.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that two Public Hearings are scheduled on the October 24, 2017 and November 14, 2017 Regular City Council meetings, at approximately 7:00 pm, before the DuPont City Council at City Hall, 1700 Civic Drive, DuPont, WA 98327 for the purpose of receiving oral testimony or written comments for or against any part of the proposed 2018 Budget.

LODGING TAX ADVISORY COMMITTEE 
 
VACANCY

The City is seeking interested individuals for appointment to the City's Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC). The LTAC was established for the purpose of recommending to the City Council on how to use the City lodging tax revenue for tourism promotion or tourism facility purposes.  By state law, at least two members are representatives of businesses required to collect the tax, two members are persons involved in activities authorized to be funded by the tax, and one member is an elected official of the City.  Please submit a completed application, letter of interest and a copy of your resume to City Hall, Attn: Karri Muir, City Clerk, 1700 Civic Drive, DuPont, WA 98327.  OPEN UNTIL FILLED

PARKS & RECREATION AGENCY

The City is seeking interested residents for appointments to the City's volunteer Parks & Recreation Agency. Eligible applicants must be residents of the City of DuPont for a minimum of one year. Please submit a completed application form and a letter of interest that includes your relevant professional experience, your reasons for desiring to be appointed to this position, and your thoughts on the most significant parks and recreational issues facing the City in both the short and long term, to City Hall, Attn: City Clerk, 1700 Civic Drive, DuPont, WA 98327. The City is seeking interested residents for appointment to the City's volunteer Salary Commission. The Salary Commission was established for the purpose of setting salaries for City of DuPont elected officials. Applicants must be residents of the City of DuPont. Applicants cannot be an officer, official, employee or immediate family member of an officer, official, or employee of the City of DuPont. The DuPont Tourism Board will hold a special meeting on Monday, November 20, 2017 - 9:30 am at City Hall, 1700 Civic Dr., DuPont, WA 98327 to discuss the tourism meeting, golf partnerships, and LTAC updates.

YOUTH COUNCIL VACANCY  
The City is seeking interested high school students in the DuPont community for appointment to the volunteer Youth Council. The Youth Council was created to involve youth in local government, increase volunteerism in civic affairs, increase communication with youth in the community, and involve youth in planning community activities.
