The City Council discussed and approved public comments moving forward last night at the Workshop. Public Comments will be on the agenda for the November 24th and December 8th Council Meeting. Directions are below on how to participate.
The Open Public Meetings Act (OMPA) waiver by the state legislative leadership was extended through December 7, 2020. As a result, City Hall Council Chambers will not be open for City Council Meetings. All business conducted will be considered essential as outlined in the Governor’s Proclamation
Residents can virtually attend City Council meetings by watching them live on the City’s YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCl-nrLK1wNfpq3_CeNJw40A or by watching on at PCTV https://wa-piercecountytv2.civicplus.com/1306/DuPont-Live-Meetings.
To Participate in Public Comment and/or Public Testimony:
Comment and Public Testimony on Public Hearings will be accepted by mail, email or by live virtual comments. Send comments by mail or email to Karri Muir, City Clerk, 1700 Civic Drive, DuPont, WA 98327 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Written comments must be received by 3:00 pm by the Monday before the Council Meeting.
If you would like to provide live Public Comment or Public Testimony during the meeting you will need to call into the Zoom meeting by dialing 1 253 215 8782 and enter Meeting ID: 886 9921 9130 and passcode: 695380.
The Mayor will call on you during public comment and/or public hearing portions of the agenda. When you are unmuted please provide your name and city of residence and please turn off your volume on the second device. Each speaker will be allowed (3) three minutes to speak. Once your three minutes are up you will be removed from the meeting and will need to watch via YouTube or PCTV (see above).
