Annual Parade Route & Start Times:
Start Times
Float Staging Area is in front of the DuPont Community Center (303 Barksdale Dr). Staging begins at 9:00AM and parade begins at 10:00AM.
The Bike & Buggy Parade will stage in front of the Chloe Clark Statue on the corner of Palisade & Haskell. Please follow directions of DuPont Police & Volunteers. Staging begins at 10:00AM and meets at the END of the parade at approximately 10:30AM. Do not move ahead of any of the original procession. All parade participants participate at their own risk and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Route
- Float Parade begins in front of the DuPont Community Center at 303 Barksdale Dr, heading Northwest toward Repauno Ave.
- Turns right, heading Northeast on Repauno and continues onto DuPont Ave, heading Northwest
- Continues onto Haskell St heading Southwest.
- Passes along Chloe Clark Elementary School where the Bike & Buggy Parade joins behind the original procession.
- Crosses Palisade on Haskell St and continues to McDonald St.
- Turns left on McDonald St heading South.
- Turns left on Thompson St heading East.
- Continues right onto Thompson Circle following along the South side of Clocktower Park.
- Turns left on Palisade Blvd, heading North.
- Ends in front of the Clocktower at Clocktower Park.

Parade Route & Road Closure Info
DUPONT 4TH OF JULY ROAD CLOSURES AND PARKING RESTRICTIONS:
Two major community events will be talking place in DuPont in celebration of Independence Day 2023. The Police Department will try to assist the local residents trying to get to their homes along the parade route and fireworks area as quickly as we can.
To ensure participant and spectator safety, please be aware of the following traffic restrictions:
4TH OF JULY PARADE:
***NO PARKING signs for this event are placed along the parade route. By the morning of the 4th, if vehicles are left along the parade route and officers are unable to contact the registered owners, they will be impounded by the DuPont Police Department.***
From 9am to 2pm on July 4th, the following roads* will be blocked and/or have limited access:
• Palisade Blvd at Thompson Cir
• Ross Ave at Thompson Cir
• McDonald Ave at Thompson Cir
• Haskell St at McDonald Ave
• Haskell St at Palisade Blvd

All alleyways will also be closed until the last participant in the parade goes by their location. Once the parade is concluded, all streets will be opened except those around Clocktower Park. The police department will try to assist the local residents who are trying to get to their homes along the parade route as quickly as they can without putting the participants’ safety at stake.
