Update to DuPont Six-Year (2021-2026) Transportation Improvement Program
The DuPont City Council will hold a remote public hearing at approximately 7:00 pm, on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at http://www.piercecountytv.org/1306/DuPont-Live-Meetings to take testimony on the proposed update to the City’s 6-year Transportation Improvement Program (6-year TIP) for the ensuing six years (2021-2026).
The 6-year TIP is a planning tool that identifies anticipated transportation projects which are anticipated to occur within the city during the identified six-year period, either through development activity or local transportation project planning and funding efforts. The public hearing will be held prior to any formal action being taken by the Council to adopt the updated 6-year TIP, pursuant to RCW 35.77.010. The adopted 6-year TIP update will be filed with WA State Secretary of Transportation.

CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
The purpose of the Civil Service Commission is to implement, administer, and direct a civil service system that is consistent with state laws for sworn personnel of the DuPont Police Department and uniformed personnel of the DuPont Fire Department. The commission provides sworn police and uniformed fire employees with a quasi-judicial process for hearings on appeals concerning disciplinary actions, examination and testing, and other related issues.
Pursuant to RCW 41.12.030 and RCW 41.08.030, each member must be a resident of the City of DuPont for at least three (3) years immediately preceding City Council appointment and a registered voter in Pierce County. At the time of any appointment, not more than two commissioners shall be adherents of the same political party. The term of office is six (6) years.
LODGING TAX ADVISORY COMMITTEE (LTAC)
The City is seeking interested individuals for appointment to the City’s Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC). The LTAC was established for the purpose of recommending to the City Council on how to use the City lodging tax revenue for tourism promotion or tourism facility purposes. By state law, at least two members are representatives of businesses required to collect the tax, two members are persons involved in activities authorized to be funded by the tax, and one member is an elected official of the City.
