Utility Assistance
Do you have a past due water/stormwater balance? We have noticed there are a considerable amount of households that have past due balances. We are taking this opportunity to reach out to residents about these past due balances.
Yes, the Governor has extended the proclamation that prevents late fees and shuts offs through April 30th, 2021, but once this date passes or the proclamation is lifted, the City of DuPont is required to follow the rules and regulations outlined in DuPont Municipal Codes. This will include late fees and shut offs for households with past due balances, this is per DMC 17.02.050 and 17.02.060.
For those of you who have a past due balance, we encourage you to pay any amount towards your outstanding debt. Even a few small payments during this time will help keep your balance at a more manageable level in anticipation of the Governor’s proclamation deadline, which will require the City to collect the entire outstanding balance by a specific due date.
For your convenience, you can now pay online at https://dupontwa.merchanttransact.com. Another option is to drop off your payment in our outside drop box in the northeast corner of City Hall’s parking lot. You are also welcome to mail your payment to City of DuPont, 1700 Civic Drive, DuPont WA 98327.
